Vehicle Bus Tool - Explore Version

In combination with the ZD Datalogger 3 Series, ZD offers the "Vehicle Bus Tool - Explore Version" software, further enhancing the practicality of the ZD Datalogger 3. The VBT - Explore Version allows users to configure the data logger for specific CMP (ASAM Capture Module Protocol) functions, including channel selection, initiation and termination of data transfer, and monitoring of CPU and bandwidth usage of the data logger during real-time analysis. By integrating multiple trace windows and signal oscilloscopes, the software enables visualization at the signal level through DBC, ARXML, LDF, and Fibex files during real-time analysis. Furthermore, VBT - Explore Version can also be used as an efficient offline analysis tool, supporting bus analysis using standard file formats like .blf, .asc, .pcap, etc. In offline mode, all features available in the real-time analysis mode are accessible, ensuring a seamless experience with high efficiency and accuracy for users.

Features

Supports importing bus data description files
Enables real-time analysis of online messages by importing files in formats such as .dbc, .arxml, and .ldf
Trace playback of offline data files and waveform revisitanalysis in graphics
Import and export of bus format data files (.asc, .blf, .pcap)
Bus description files

CANdb (*.dbc)

LDF (*.ldf)

AUTOSAR (*.arxml) versions: 4.2.1, 4.2.2, 4.3.0

Application Range

During road testing, engineers can utilize the ZD Datalogger 3 Series for continuous recording of all bus data while selectively monitoring specific bus channels and conducting online analysis on a laptop equipped with the "VBT - Explore Version" software. In this mode, the datalogger acts as a network interface, using the CMP protocol to forward selected data to the user's laptop. The dedicated "VBT - Free Version" assists engineers in real-time analysis of signals and recording system behavior. If needed, specific bus data can also be saved separately on the laptop, while the complete bus communication is preserved in the datalogger for subsequent detailed offline analysis using the "VBT - Explore Version".
